Mann Orthodontics
Before & After
See real smile transformations from our patients at Mann Orthodontics.
Case 1
Age 12 | Flared Front Teeth, a Growth Spurt, and Great Teamwork
This patient’s upper front teeth flared forward and sat well ahead of his lower teeth. His X-rays showed two causes: flared upper teeth and a lower jaw that hadn’t yet caught up in growth. He was about to hit a growth spurt, so we timed treatment to work with it:
- Straightened and repositioned his front teeth right away
- Rubber bands, worn consistently, guided his upper teeth back and lower teeth forward as his jaw grew
The results were fantastic: the gap between his upper and lower front teeth is closed, his bite overlaps ideally front and back, and his canines fit perfectly. Good timing, the right plan, and great compliance all came together.
Case 2
Crowding, High Canines, and a Crooked-Looking Smile That Wasn’t What It Seemed
This patient came in for crowding and high canines, but she also had a deep overbite and upper front teeth that had erupted unevenly, creating a “canted” smile. We confirmed her jaw was straight and the unevenness came entirely from the teeth, so braces alone could fully correct it.
In just under two years, she got a beautifully symmetric smile:
- Even gum contours across the entire smile line
- Teeth resting naturally against the lower lip
- A healthy overbite and well-aligned side bites
Case 3
Crowding, a Blocked-Out Tooth, and a Newfound Confidence
This patient had significant crowding, a lower tooth completely blocked out of the arch, and he was hesitant to smile fully. He also had upper teeth on the right sitting ahead of the lower teeth and a midline that didn’t line up.
We treated him with braces and rubber bands that he wore faithfully. In just over two years:
- His crowding is resolved
- His bite fits together beautifully on both sides
- His midlines are centered, and he smiles with real confidence
Case 4
Age 12 | Correcting a Front Crossbite Without Jaw Surgery
This patient’s upper front teeth sat behind his lower teeth, and his family wondered if the jaw needed correcting. Our exam showed the crossbite came from tooth position, not the jaw: the upper teeth were simply too far back.
That meant braces alone could fix it. In about two years, he had a fully corrected bite, a great smile, and healthy alignment front and side. What looks like a serious skeletal issue can sometimes be a simpler fix once the real cause is found.
Case 5
Age 25 | Crooked-Looking Teeth That Weren’t Actually Crooked
This patient felt her teeth were crooked, but the real issue was the roots underneath: her front teeth were angled forward, and her upper left back teeth were flared out of the bite.
- Clear aligners (Angel Aligners), discreet for her professional life
- Roots guided into a healthier position, not just the visible crowns
- About 16 months total, including a wait before her aligners were ready
Her bite came together front and back, and her smile aligned beautifully.
